After a fun filled morning in Nashville we regrouped then headed out to Belle Meade Plantation. The plantation estate is best known as the home of the Harding and Jackson families, and is well seeped in the history of breeding and racing thoroughbred horses. These days visitors can walk the grounds and tour the mansion.
Weddings are commonly held at Belle Meade, and we spotted one during our exploration!
Not to mention a questionable historic relic…
There is a winery on site, and after touring the mansion visitors are welcome to a free wine tasting. Of course we picked up several bottles each to enjoy back home!
