One Month in London!

December is flying by, and today marks the one month anniversary of my arrival in London!

This month I’ve been working on the planning for various audit clients and reviewing prior year work papers. I’m anxious to get started with fieldwork and get to know the rest of my team on the clients I’ll be working on this busy season.

I went to another class at Psycle London on Monday and picked up a yummy smoothie post-ride for dinner.

On Tuesday I played with one of the teams for the music quiz my office puts on around this time of year. It took place at a pub close by the office and was quite the event! People take it really seriously and the questions were pretty tough. Our team didn’t win but we still had an amazing night.

Tuesday I got lunch with the manager that interviewed me back in the spring, and on Wednesday I had lunch at Strada with some coworkers to celebrate a recent promotion!

Thursday was the financial services department Christmas party; ice skating at Somerset House and drinks afterwards! I didn’t fall while skating but after witnessing various stages of inquires from little falls to requiring stitches (!)….I think I’m going to hang up my skates for good. Regardless it was a festive evening for all.

Last weekend Gail and I visited St. Albans. This weekend we went a bit lower key with seeing Mockingjay Part 2 at the O2 in Greenwich.  I’ve been eagerly waiting to see the last installment-SO intense but loyal to the book enough to please the HG fans. Overall I was pleased with the film : )

I’ve had some lazy Sundays with grocery shopping and chores around the flat. I’ve also picked up my slightly 20’s themed outfit for the firm wide Christmas party this week and gotten through most of my Christmas shopping!

Have a lovely week!
