Love

In honor of Valentine’s Day I’m pontificating a bit on the subject of love.

Me in Paris. Because above everyone I love myself the most…sorry not sorry.

I’ve never been boy crazy. I’m too impatient and stubborn to put up with the games that can come with casually dating; that outweighed the times it was hard to be the single gal amongst all my friends and their long-term significant others.

Call it naive or a nicer term, hopeful, but I always had the thought in the back of my mind “you could meet someone tomorrow”. And that more or less got me through most of my twenties.

The trip my friends convinced me to sign up for online dating

I decided I was emotionally ready to date so I signed up for online dating. I know it can be a strike out, but again I don’t waste my own time; it was three months between the first conversation with Kevin and our first date.

Was it awkward and stressful? Yes. Was it worth it? Absolutely yes. I found the love of my life.

All disgustingly loved up.

So it’s totally ok to be picky and choose yourself. Being true to who you are completely outweighs having someone.
