Happy Friday! I’m linking up with Lauren Elizabeth on ‘High for Friday’ for today’s ‘Obsessed’ post. Each week I’ll round up my favorite finds from the week that I am obsessed with and share them with you!

1. Broadway

I was in New York last weekend (recap to come soon!) and my friends and I saw an impressive FOUR shows in three days. We absolutely are OBSESSED with theater and this was a fantastic refresher of just everything I adore about Broadway. I’m especially obsessing over the Aladdin Original Broadway Soundtrack (“High Adventure” is hilarious and “Friend Like Me” is…just everything).

2. Pippin is coming to Chicago!

Broadway in Chicago has announced that the revival of Pippin will be making it’s way to Chicago next July/August while the show is on tour! I’m so beyond obsessed with this show and am ecstatic that audiences around the country are going to be able to experience the magic. Included in the touring cast and playing the role of Charles will be John Rubinstein, who originated the role of ‘Pippin’ in the 1972 Broadway production. I had the pleasure of seeing him perform this past weekend in New York and he was fantastic! We chatted after the show and he is SO NICE! I asked if it was surreal being back in Pippin after so long-he told me it definitely is! Especially because the current revival of ‘Pippin’ is playing right next door (at the Music Box Theater) from where the original production premiered, at the Imperial Theater. I digress…anywho, I obviously will be seeing the show when it makes it’s way to Chicago next year!

3. Books Beauty and Buys

My lovely friend Lindsey has started a blog!! Every week she’ll be dishing on the books she’s reading, the products she’s loving and, you guessed it, the goodies she’s buying! I’m already obsessed with her blog and have a list started of products/books to check out!

Obsessed 6.20.14

1. Summer Produce

I absolutely am obsessed with this time of year when it comes to fresh produce. So many fruits and vegetables are in season, meaning there are tons of choices when you head to the grocery store. This week I have been snacking on strawberries and cherries, and having an extra large serving of corn with my meals!

2. Driving on Lake Shore Drive

I don’t drive on Lake Shore Drive often, so when I do it still manages to take my breath away. This could possibly be my favorite place to drive; outstanding views of both Lake Michigan and the city. So obsessed!

3. “The Architecture of the Cocktail” by Amy Zavatto and Melissa Wood

I picked up this book at the library on a whim and am obsessed! The authors take classic drinks and constructs them as you would a blueprint for a house. Each drink has a nice explanation of its history and well written instructions on how to prepare.

Obsessed 6.6.14

1. Sephora Collection Instant Nail Polish Remover

Last weekend I painted my nails at a friend’s house, but first asked for nail polish remover to take off my old polish. When she handed me this product to use I was immediately obsessed. Just put a finger into the spongey material, give it a few twists, and your polish is completely removed. It took maybe a minute to get all of my old polish off of my nails and I didn’t have to mess around with cotton rounds or messy bottles of acetone. Plus the smell of this remover is very mild (unusual for nail polish remover). I’m buying this as soon as I make my next trip to Sephora!

2. Beach Volleyball

My office at work has formed a beach volleyball recreational team for the summer and we had our first game last night. I’m already obsessed. We have a ways to go in terms of getting good (we lost all three sets) but how can you beat beach volleyball in Chicago with these gorgeous views?!

1. Birchbox

I first subscribed to Birchbox in 2012. After a brief hiatus, I resumed my subscription this spring and am obsessed. Each month for $10 you get a box of 4-5 beauty products to try! I’ve discovered some great new favorites from Birchbox and always love getting it in the mail.

2. Ipsento

A comfy and welcoming coffeehouse that sells damn good coffee. Whether enjoying in house or taking it to go, I’m obsessed.

3. Vacations

Stay tuned for a full recap next week of my time on the Royal Caribbean Allure of the Seas Cruise Ship! Sun, beaches and fruity cocktails? Obsessed!!

Obsessed 5.16.14

1. Apothic White wine

A friend introduced me to this and I am obsessed! This will be a perfect wine to drink while eating outside all summer long!

2. Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Volupté Shine

Another friend recommendation! I’m utterly obsessed with this lipstick. The silky texture is a dream to apply and the color is to die for. Plus the packaging is so pretty. Find it at Sephora.

3. Vacation!

I’m extremely excited to be heading south for vacay! After a long winter and stressful few months at work, this is a much needed break. I can’t wait to spend a week in the sun with my friend and fellow blogger Steph!

Obsessed 5.2.14

1. This makes me a TOTAL nerd, but they announced the official cast list for ‘Star Wars’ and I am obsessed! I grew up loving the original trilogy and to this day have the biggest crush on 70’s/80’s Harrison Ford.

2. April 30th was the 10th anniversary of the release of ‘Mean Girls’, AND it was a Wednesday. Of course I wore pink for the occasion! 10 years later and I’m still obsessed with this movie…and still holding out that “fetch” will happen.

3. I plan on doing a ton of cooking this weekend (I have a fun food-related giveaway planned for next week), including whipping up a few treats from this new cookbook. I’ve only leafed through it but so far I am obsessed.

Obsessed: 4.25.14

1. Salted Caramel Cheesecake at the Berghoff

We had an office lunch this week at the Berghoff to celebrate Professional Administrative’s Day. My co-worker and I shared this dessert and were obsessed! I think the photo speaks for itself…

2. ‘Divergent’

I FINALLY saw ‘Divergent’….and oh man I am obsessed! I think it was a great adaptation-a lot of (necessary) plot changes but the overall story remains the same. And, Theo James.

3. Essie ‘Too Too Hot’ Nail Polish

I’m obsessed with this rich red coral nail polish from Essie. It will be my go to color all summer long!

1. Fage Yogurt

This has been the hero of my lunches this week. I adore Greek yogurt and am obsessed with the large range of flavors Fage offers. The consistency is great and I love being able to add the flavor in myself, as the container separates this from the plain yogurt. My favorite flavors are key lime, apple cinnamon raisin and mango guanabana. At around 120 calories this is a perfect snack or add on to your lunch! Check them out here.

2. “Pause” by Pitbull

We’ve used this song a few times in my workout classes and I am obsessed. It’s super catchy and has a great beat for fitness.

3. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge in New Zealand I’m obsessed with the royals, and of course in particular Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge. This royal tour means one thing: more amazing fashionista moments! My favorite look thus far has been this powder blue customized Alexander McQueen coat:
